We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person with secretarial experience to support the Chaplaincy team in the smooth running of the department for two mornings a week.
Excellent administration / secretarial skills are vital as well as a good understanding of working with people with a range of different beliefs.
You will be required to deal with day to day enquiries and welcome people who visit the department.
To help the chaplaincy team with administrative tasks and take the initiative in developing more effective systems of managing the day to day organisation of the Chaplaincy department.
to help make us a valued and trusted partner within our care system, that delivers safe effective care to our local population.
The secretary will also be responsible for liaising with volunteers, bank and part time staff and assisting the chaplains with work rotas, inputting data onto our database and answering telephone enquiries.
The successful candidate will be required to work well under pressure and manage their time and workload effectively. They will be required to work unsupervised and display initiative in what can sometimes be pressured situations.
This post requires empathy towards the work of the chaplaincy department and good people skills. Experience in the use of hospital based IT systems would be an advantage, but training will be given.
