Regional Head of Sales - North, Central & Eastern Europe

government Organisations and Partnership & Affinity. All business lines rely on a global sales team managed from our 5 regional hubs in Dublin, Paris, Dubai, Singapore and Miami.

Job Purpose / Role

As Head of Regional Distribution, you will be responsible for developing and monitoring the North, Central and Eastern Europe regional sales strategy across both the new business and existing book of business.

Ensuring that the region is driving sales and growing the portfolio across all segments (Individual & Small Groups, Corporate & Middle Market, Government & Inter-

government Organisations and Partnership & Affinity) in line with the company s growth targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plan for the region, in line with the Chief Sales & Development Officer.
  • Work closely with the Heads of Business Lines in order to ensure there is a joined up sales strategy and collaborative working.
  • Ensure that the regional targets are met.
  • Continually investigate and assess market and product / service viability ensuring market and customer needs are fully understood and required changes are aligned with the business priorities.
  • Responsible for leading on long and short term sales initiatives to support business growth.
  • Develop relationships with group companies and brokers within region and provide ongoing support and training, to drive new business and retain existing clients, across all business lines.
  • Provide quotes, reports and other information required in support of the generation of business.
  • Maintain on-going client relationships including the handling of issues and problems to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate record keeping and head office reporting as required, including regularly updating of the main business planning tool, Salesforce.
  • Develop a cross collaboration strategy with Allianz Partners Colleagues from other business lines in the geographic region, including participation at the regional meetings and the strategic dialogue (SD).
  • Responsible for the management and development of the Regional Sales team.
  • Responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare of the staff within the business (please refer to the Company s Safety Statement for full list of responsibilities).
  • Key requirements / Skills / Experience

  • Degree preferred in e.g. Economics, Business Administration, Law or other appropriate discipline or completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g. CII)
  • 15 years experience within a services environment, preferably financial services / insurance; including a minimum of 5 years management experience within such an environment
  • Strong track record within sales (>

  • Strong communication & presentation skills with the ability to express ideas and messages clearly and to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story
  • Experience working in a complex, global matrix organisation
  • Fluency in traditional software suites incl. SFDC
  • Native or native-like English - other European languages a plus
