First of all thanks so much for stopping by Life After Heels!!Here is a little about me. My name is Nicole and a I am (most of the time) a lovin’ mom to 2 very active and precocious school age boys and one crazy golden-doodle. I have created this little piece of real estate in blog land. I’ve been married for 8 years to a wonderful and patient man, (as one would have to be if they are married to me) and we live in NJ (and no, I do NOT have big hair). Here, I blog mostly about my every day adventures with my children and my podiatry practice. Oh, did I mention that I am a podiatrist. And before you ask, no I do not have foot fetish. I am a fitness enthusiast which I want to combine with my podiatry. From time to time I will blog about many topics that have shaped who I am, such as losing my mother at a young age to ovarian cancer and finding out I am BRCA II Positive (one of the gene mutations that is linked to breast and ovarian cancer).
I’m just an ordinary girl. I’ve been skinny and I’ve been fat and I’ve been in between. I have dealt with issue such as eating disorders and body dysmorphic syndrome, along with depression and anxiety. I’ve gone through the joys of motherhood and the sorrows of loss. I’ve worked full time and presently I am working part time. I live in a small tudor home. My house is always in a state of disarray with toys strewn everywhere, which I have to admit drives me crazy. My house is never quiet with kids yelling and a dog barking, and though sometimes I wish for a simpler life, I would not change it for the world. I tend to be an introvert by nature and sometimes feel awkward in large crowds. I am honest with my flaws and I do not mind sharing them with everyone. I’m just a girl who loves to help people and maybe make them laugh too
